Welcome
Welcome

Is this another sappy story of high school sweethearts going to the prom and falling in love? No, we wouldn't want you to read another one of those stories. Kristen and Stanley went to the same middle school and high school together, had the same mutual friends, and yet never had the joy of really knowing one another.

Kristen was part of the Lakeview Centennial H.S. Sweethearts drill team. Stanley was part of the Lakeview Centennial Patriots Football team. Both were very athletic and competitive growing up, and involved in different sports and activities such as gymnastics, dance, playing the piano, and choir for Kristen, while Stanley was involved in bmx, skateboarding and motorcross. Stanley will only admit this to some but not all, but he actually had a crush on Kristen in high school. They actually shared a class together. Stanley sat two desks directly behind Kristen, but yet they never really crossed paths.

After high school, they both went their separate ways. Kristen went to Baylor University. She was the Captain of the Spirit Squad (Dance Team), a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, and helped organize a SING Production. She graduated with double majors, a Bachelors Degree in Real Estate, Bachelors Degree in Finance, and Minor in Corporate Communications. She is the broker and co-owner of All Star Real Estate. Stanley went to the University of North Texas. He competed on UNT's Powerlifting team, was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, and played semi-pro football. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in General Studies. He is working as a legal assistant at a highly respectable law firm and co-owns a custom motorcycle shop.

It wouldn't be until after all of this and ten years later that Kristen and Stanley would FINALLY cross paths. Mutual friends asked each of them to attend several get-togethers, and they would finally start talking. At the third outing (a friend's wedding), Kristen was preparing to sing a song for the bride and groom and felt a little nervous, but she would soon look into Stanley's eyes, which she admitted later that "it made her feel at ease." Unfortunately Stanley had to leave the wedding early and missed out on their first dance. Knowing that he didn't want to miss out on his high school crush, he contacted Kristen shortly after and they shared their first dance. Many conversations, many laughs, and many Happy and Great moments later, and here we are celebrating two people who were destined to be together.

On August 6, 2010, they ended up at the beautiful Fountain Place in Downtown Dallas. The steps and walk way are completely surrounded by water and fountains, the fountains and water are covered by tall trees. The scene of Fountain Place looks like it should be in a fairy tale.

As Stanley and Kristen walked down the steps to take pictures, Kristen asks him why he was acting funny not knowing that he had the ring in his left pocket. As they walked around he decided that he would turn around and swing Kristen to his right side and at that time he was able to reach into his left pocket to grab the ring. Kristen again questioned Stanley about how he was acting funny and which side she usually stands on. Stanley was able to make the "L" shape with his left hand while hiding the ring in the same hand. As they walked around the corner, Stanley acted like he saw something in the water and asked Kristen if she saw it. He then got down on his knee and reached in the water with his right hand (ring still in his left hand) and as he brought his right hand from the water his left hand joined. So he was on one knee with the ring in the air, and asked with confidence.....

Kristen looked confused and was able to softly say, "I will." Stanley being a little confused stood and as they kissed the lights turned on and the fountains went off.

As Kristen and Stanley drove to the restaurant he teased Kristen about the "I will," and how he was expecting her to be excited and say, "Yes, Yes, Yes!" He even said that she looked confused. She admittedly said that she was confused and said that she was wondering if I pulled the ring from the water, and how that was "magic." So Stanley being Stanley quoted a movie line and said, "That he was the Magic Man. Now you see me, now you don't!"

We are looking forward to our special day and sharing it with our family and friends.  We hope everyone enjoys the dining and dancing at the reception. We are definitely excited about our new adventure which will start at the moment of "I do!"

We have been blessed to be able to join two households and have more than the bare essentials. We would however like to share a honeymoon and vacation from our normal work filled weeks. We hope you find the registry as a way to help us make our dream honeymoon come true.

Thank you for all your visiting our wedding website and honeymoon registry and we can't wait to see you!!
